Knowing Good Fitted Kitchen Suppliers From The Bad

When it comes to fitted kitchen suppliers, you may find yourself overwhelmed with the sheer number of choices available. With all the different manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers of modern fitted kitchens, how are you to know which ones you want to avoid and which ones with which you want to do business? It all comes down to checking them out beforehand to ensure that their reputation is clean and that there are no problems.

Visit their premises and talk to their representatives. Ask them some questions about their fitted kitchen units that you already know the answers to. Do they welcome you and treat you like you and your business is valuable to them, or do they brush you off as if you and your questions are a bother to them. If they are unwilling to discuss their products with you and answer your questions, you may be better off looking elsewhere.

Research the company online. When fitted kitchen manufacturers, or any other major company, for that matter, has a number of complaints against them, you should be able to find them quickly using a cursory Internet search of the company’s name, as well as terms like: complaint, problem, or disaster. If you immediately come up with a whole list of complaints, you may want to move on.

Ask around and see if anyone you are acquainted with has, or knows someone who has, done business with any of the fitted kitchen suppliers you are researching. While one or two anecdotes are hardly enough to condemn a large fitted kitchen company, it will at least give you some real world experiences to judge your decision upon.

Check with the Better Business Bureau if you are in the US, or the Trading Standards Institute if you are in the UK. These organizations operate as a check against shoddy business practices, and will be able to tell you if particular fitted kitchen suppliers have a history of complaints or litigation against them.

With all the different fitted kitchen suppliers doing business today, choosing the right one for you can be difficult. Since the only way to know for sure how satisfied people are with their work and products, all you can do is research them ahead of time. Visit their offices, talk to their customers, research them online, and check with your local watchdog agencies and you will have a clear idea of how they do business.
